In June, we will be holding our 2019 Blue Light Safer Young Driver Expo. Our expo is aimed at all year 11 students in the Western Bay of Plenty. The expo covers topics such as licencing information and the dangers of drink, drug and distracted driving. We have talks and displays from NZ Police, NZ Fire Service, trauma nurses and a drink driving victim. Our expo is not to shock the students but to educate them on the bitter reality of driving dangerously. We believe that our early intervention approach will help prevent more deaths and accidents involving youth drivers in the Bay of Plenty.
